Home Access Modification Grants for those who live in San Diego City area and meet qualifying criteria.

"Accessibility 1000"

The Fair Housing Council of San Diego and Access to Independence (a2i). A Program to Increase the Supply of Accessible Units within the City of San Diego and Advance Fair Housing for Persons with Disabilities. We can assist eligible (low-moderate income) persons/families with modifications to achieve access to units. Modifications may include: ramps; access to public/common areas; widening doors for wheelchair access; accessible routes into and through covered dwelling areas; access to environmental controls (light switches etc.); installation of grab bars; and other bathroom/kitchen access improvements for wheelchair access.
