Home Access Modification Grants for those who live in San Diego County and meet qualifying criteria.
and $2,000.00 for access ramps.

The Fair Housing Council of San Diego and Access to Independence (a2i). A Program to Increase the Supply of Accessible Units within the the County of  San Diego and Advance Fair Housing for Persons with Disabilities. Access to Independence can assist eligible (low-moderate income) persons/families with modifications to achieve access to units. Modifications may include: ramps; access to public/common areas; widening doors for wheelchair access; accessible routes into and through covered dwelling areas; access to environmental controls (light switches etc.); installation of grab bars; and other bathroom/kitchen access improvements for wheelchairs.
