Dr. Jack Robertson
Executive Director
Jack launched‚ "the S.O.A.R.ing Foundation" in April of 2003. He has been an educator since 1973. As a paraplegic, he enjoys sharing his personal and professional perspective with clients of‚ "Action Home Access‚" On a personal level, Jack has been married 24 years and has two children. He enjoys open water sports, has swam 28.5miles around Manhattan Island, 17 kilometers across the Strait of Gibraltar and completed dozens of other swims. |

Elaine Robertson
Office Director
Ms. Robertson has 25 years' experience of teaching special education in the public schools, as well as teaching graduate students in education. Elaine and her husband Jack, are parents of a teenage son and daughter, which keep them hopping! In addition, Ms. Robertson has been married for 24 years to a person with a disability, which certainly broadened her views of peoples' abilities and capabilities as well as the importance of having an accessible home.

William Carmody
Director / Treasurer
William is one of the co-founders, a major contributor and board member for The S.O.A.R.ing Foundation. William has been a contractor and business owner and is familiar with all phases of construction. Also his expertise in management, accounting and personnel, make him the right person for the Treasurer position for The S.O.A.R.ing Foundation. He is the initial contact the client will have with the organization. William will visit the location and get all the information as to what the individual needs to overcome barriers to provide basic access to their place of residence. |

Wayne Hosaka
Director / Technology Information Technician Specialist
Wayne is CEO of www.flattrack.com. He is an internationally recognized mouth painting artist www.waynehoska.com (a quadriplegic from a motorcycle accident), inventor, and Webmaster. His expertise as Webmaster for The S.O.A.R.ing Foundation's Board of Directors is extremely valued. Mr. Hosaka was inducted into the International Motorcross Hall of Champions in 2005. Wayne is a member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists based in Liechtenstein, Europe. Mr. Hosaka has an international reputation as an outstanding artist and humanitarian. |

Kenneth Jack Carano
Director / Onsite Supervisor
A former Marine Corps Sergeant, Ken is a longtime friend of the enabled community having proudly served as the assistant coach to the San Diego Armadillos wheelchair basketball team during the 1981 and 1982 seasons. His experience includes work as a journeyman carpenter and as a businessman who owned and operated the popular Pancho Villa restaurant in Pacific Beach CA, 1978-1983. Mr. Carano taught electronics technology as a state certified vocational instructor at American Business College, Edutek and ITT from 1983-1995 and was recognized as Educator of the Year in 1993. Mr. Carano was a Senior Technician in the semiconductor industry for Air Products Corp from 1996-2004. He holds a B.A. with honors from SDSU and is married with two children. Now in retirement, Ken's hobbies include volunteering to help others, music, reading and laughing. |
